Are you creative? Most people would immediately answer no to that question. But, I happen to think that ALL of us have a creative side. Whether we express that creativity through numbers, innovation, music, or plastic arts, we owe it to ourselves, and to the world, to honor that creative calling. But, HOW do we embrace and honor our creative calling in a world designed to get us to fit in? Join me as I explore this and other questions about creativity, authenticity, and passion with author and speaker Joshua Rutherford. Joshua Rutherford has wanted to be a writer all his life. From an early age, his imagination has taken flight, allowing him to dream up worlds and universes expansive enough to hold his many characters, settings and stories. From refugees and assassins to knights and kings, Joshua has always sought to integrate his beliefs and experiences into the tapestry of his writing. As an unapologetic introvert, he gives special attention to the shy, quiet underdogs of the world, as his protagonists hail from diverse environments where they often find themselves overlooked or misunderstood. While specializing in the fantasy and sci-fi genres, Joshua has expanded his attention to non-fiction and frequently blogs on topics including his multicultural experiences and mixed race upbringing. When he is not writing – which isn’t often – he can be found spending quality time with his wife and two young sons in Austin, Texas.
